Bio

Jonathan Fine is a director, editor, and VFX artist based in Brooklyn, NYC.

Fine’s artistic journey began as a child of Morningside Heights, studying music and dance at the Museo Del Barrio and the New York Piano Academy. As a teenager he majored in music at LaGuardia High School and won national piano competitions, resulting in solo performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. During college he studied Film & Electronic Arts at Bard College, and earned the “Young Filmmaker Award” from the Los Angeles Film Awards.

Since graduating in 2021, Fine's work has spanned a range of genres. In the music video domain, he has worked with music artists such as Lolita Leopard, Catz n Dogz, Saint Ahmad, and SaifLove. His directorial works have won the “Best Music Video” award at various film festivals — including the New York Shorts International Film Festival, the Big Apple Film Festival, and the New York International Film Awards — and received praise from publications such as Nylon, Wonderland, and Earmilk. In addition to his live-action work, he has created CGI-based concert visuals for music festivals such as Bushwig and FORMAT.

Beyond the music industry, Fine also directs and edits educational and promotional content, including explainer, internal, and commercial videos for various corporate and non-profit organizations. Notable clients include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Tronox, and Vimar.
